ವಿಶ್ವವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ (ಡಬ್ಲ್ಯುಟಿಒ) ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರವನ್ನು ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೂ ಉದಾರೀಕರಣಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಆಶಯ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಒಂದು ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ. ೧೯೪೮ರಿಂದ ಜಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಸುಂಕಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯಾಪಾರದ ಮೇಲಿನ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಒಪ್ಪಂದವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾನಾಪನ್ನಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ಮರ್ರಾಕೇಶ್ ಒಪ್ಪಂದದನ್ವಯ ಜನವರಿ ೧,೧೯೯೫ರಿಂದ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಅಧಿಕೃತವಾಗಿ ಕಾಯಾ೯ರಂಭಿಸಿತು.
